QuoteCQ | How To Add a Custom Data Source

Connect your pricing and inventory files using the Custom Data Source

QuoteCQ allows you to add your own data source, whether that is ERP information or blanket pricing from a supplier.

Follow the below steps:

  1. Navigate to Configuration and choose Supplier.
  2. In the Supplier view, choose Data Source.
  3. Here you will be able to add all your sources of data outside of those already configured.
  4. Click + to the right of Data Source. (If you need to add a schedule for your file, click here to learn more).
  5. Add the name for the data source and select the companies for which you want to configure your data source. This is the name that will appear when running Update Pricing.

  6. Click the upload icon to begin the process.
  7. Ensure your file meets all the requirements in the checklist. Check each as you review your file.

Along with the requirements listed here, your file must also have:

    • Supplier Name

    • Manufacturer Name

    • Manufacturer Part Number

    • Unit Price

    • Qty Break

    The other options (not required):

    • Currency

    • SKU

    • Packaging

    • Reeling

    • Description

  8. Drag/Drop or upload your CSV file.

  9. Map the columns from your file to the columns in CalcuQuote.
  10. Click Next and your file will submit. After it is uploaded, you will have a time stamp to identify when the file was last edited/imported.
  11. Now, you can run Update Pricing and your new Data Source will be available. The information will appear in line with the other API results, bid sheets and manual pricing.
