In a quote, you can add an NRE by navigating to the NRE tab.
Here, you can choose '+ Add Standard' or '+ Add Optional'.
The difference between Standard NRE and Optional NRE is in how they are presented in the final quote report you send to the customer.
- Standard NRE: are required for the customer to place the order with you. EX: This would be something like a stencil.
- Optional NRE: are typically meant as things the customer can choose to add. EX: This might be something like a design for manufacturability analysis.
This will display a line under the chosen NRE type. Double click in the first column to choose the NRE you could like to charge for.
Continue to double click in the remaining columns. Click 'Submit' once you have added your desired NREs.
If you'd like to add that NRE to your drop-down list, you can do so by going into Configuration > NREs (assuming you have permissions to alter configuration).
If you do not have permissions to add NREs or there are no NREs available to add, your administrator can populate the list with NRE options, and you can then key in the pricing.
