Attach documents to a line item | LearnCQ

CalcuQuote line item attachments give users the capability to attach documents at the line item level. This is particularly helpful when sending bare boards out for fabrication quotes, sending out custom component information to distributors, or when suggesting an alternate part to a customer.

To attach a document to a line item, navigate to the BOM tab and click the menu to the immediate left of the line item number. Then, click “Attach Document.


Next, a prompt will appear with a folder icon labeled “Line Item [#].” Right-click the folder and click “Upload” to browse for files to attach.

You can access the documents on the BOM tab or the Material Costing tab using the menu to the direct left of the line item number. Also, if you send these items out to a customer for alternate part approval, or to a supplier contact (via bidsheet) for quote, they will have access to the documents, as well.
