To charge your customer for excess materials, navigate to the quote summary tab.
Underneath the materials totals, you'll find projected excess material costs for each quantity turn time you are quoting.
All excess costs will default to display on the summary and quote. To change how excess is handled, click 'List Excess.'
Three Options for Excess on Summary:
- List Excess: Listing excess will make it appear on the published quote like it normally does. (Excess will always default to List view)

Amortize Excess: Amortizing excess will make it get distributed into the unit price of the assembly and it will not appear on the published quote. To inform the user of this, the Projected Excess row will turn gray.

Hide Excess: Hiding excess will make it disappear from the summary and quote tab/report.
Change the default option
Although CQ will set "List Excess" as default, if you usually handle your Excess differently you can change this Company's default value from the Configurations
