QuoteCQ: What is the difference between Clear Selections and Delete all pricing?

CalcuQuote allows you to clear both pricing and selections in Material Costing. This can be done at the line level or across the entire BOM. However, it is important to distinguish between the pricing and selections.

  • 'Clear selections' keeps all of the pricing information, while unselecting whichever price and supplier was selected.
  • 'Delete all pricing' removes all of the pricing information, whether APIs, manual imports, or whatever source they may be. After deleting pricing, you will need to re-add pricing information - whether by clicking the 'update pricing' button or from another source.

Generally, clear selections is more appropriate if your underlying data is good while delete pricing is more appropriate if the data is incorrect - often relevant if requoting an old assembly.

Whether you would like to start fresh with material costing or would like to clear one or more selections, you can make those edits on the Material Costing tab.

To clear individual line item selections or pricing, follow the below instructions:

  1. Select the line item to clear pricing and/or selection.
  2. Choose Edit and choose Clear Selections or Delete All Pricing.

To clear all item selections or pricing for a quantity, follow the instructions above but select all lines in the top left.
