Do you need to re-work a quote but not losing your old data? Cloning the RFQ allows you to keep and modify the quoted information as needed.
- First, need to reach the RFQ form page of the quote you wish to clone. This can be done several ways.
- One is to return to the RFQ List and select the Quote ID (remember you will need to select "All" or "Completed" to view completed quotes).
- Another method to reach this page is to click the information icon at the top of any assembly module (BOM, Labor, Material Costing, etc.) in the quote you wish to clone. A dialog will appear with a button that reads "Go to RFQ." Click that button.
If you've published a quote and sent a quote with intent to follow up, you can also see the quote on the Dashboard under "Sent Quotes." Click on the Quote ID and you'll be taken to the RFQ page. - At the bottom of the RFQ form page, you can click "Clone".
Note: You will know when a quote has been cloned as the 'Clone' button will no longer be available
From here, you can change information about the quote (e.g., assembly quantities, customer contact, etc.) or submit the quote exactly as is. - Click "Submit" to move onto the BOM and other pages and complete the cloning.
Now that you've submitted the cloned RFQ, your information from the original quote will be stored but not submitted (e.g., BOM, Material Costing, Labor).
Caution! If you don't Submit the RFQ Form right after clicking on Clone, the duplication process will not be completed.
