How to Bid for Multiple Packages in BidCQ

How to manage the various approaches for handling customer bids involving multiple packages.

1. Expanded View: ON

  • Behavior:

    • All package/quantity rows must have pricing submitted.

    • There is no system logic to auto-fill or copy pricing between rows.

    • If "Enforce Required Columns" is enabled, the user must manually input a price for each quantity level or an error will occur.

2. Expanded View: OFF

  • Behavior:

    • The system will automatically copy pricing from higher quantity tiers to lower ones with the higher quantity minimum

    • Example:

      • If a bid is sent to Suppliers with 5 quantities and prices are entered for quantities 3 and 5, the system will copy:

        • Quantity 5’s price to quantity 4 with quantity 5 as the minimum order quantity

        • Quantity 3’s price to quantities 1 and 2 with quantity 3 as the minimum order quantity

3. Summary of Expected Behavior

Expanded View Auto Pricing Copy Logic Required Manual Entry
ON No Yes (if required columns enforced)
OFF Yes  No

Tips:

  • Always confirm whether Expanded View is ON or OFF before submitting pricing.

  • In bids, manually verify all pricing, especially when Expanded View is OFF.
