QuoteCQ: How to Import a Costed BOM into CalcuQuote

Need to carry over material costing from another quoting tool? With this import, you can bring in detailed BOM and pricing data during RFQ creation — quickly and accurately.

🧭 Step 1: Start the Import Process

  1. Navigate to Create RFQ.

  2. Click the CBOM Import link.

  3. Fill out the required RFQ sections:

    • Quote Information

    • Customer Information

    • RFQ Custom Fields (if applicable)

📂 Step 2: Upload the CBOM File

  1. In the CBOM RFQ section, choose your CBOM file (must follow your company’s standard CBOM format).

  2. Click Validate and Import.

🧠 Step 3: Smart Import Mapping

If validation passes, you’ll be taken to the Smart Import screen.
  • In the MAP DATA step:
    • Map your CBOM columns to CalcuQuote fields.
    • Required field mappings:
      • BOM
      • Parent Part
      • Quantity
      • Supplier
      • Assembly Name
      • Internal Part
