To "Publish" a quote is the equivalent of putting the final authorizing signature on a quote going to the customer.
When you are ready to publish your quote, you can do so by navigating to the Quote tab, where you will be able to perform a high-level review of your completed RFQ including a price summary.
Here are some rules surrounding the publishing of a quote:
- If one of the required inputs is missing, then you will not be able to Publish a quote.
- If a quote has not been "saved as draft," then you will not be able to Publish a quote.
- If a quote is Published, and then one of the dependent inputs is edited, then the quote will revert back to an unpublished state.
Once a summary has been submitted, the quote can be published.
Tip: Should you click on the export button, you will have the option to export a draft of any of the listed options, Each of these draft exports will include a "DRAFT" watermark signifying their in progress status.
To complete your quote, and remove the watermark, click the "Publish" button.
Good job, you have published a quote!
