How to lock the chosen price per line item to prevent updates or changes
When preparing a quote in QuoteCQ, it’s important to protect prices that have been manually selected or confirmed. The Lock Price feature allows you to secure the selected price for a specific line item, preventing it from being changed during future updates or pricing refreshes.
While the AutoSelect function is designed to respect existing selections by default and will not overwrite previously chosen prices, using the Lock Price feature adds an extra layer of protection—especially helpful in cases where multiple users are working on the same quote or where price consistency is critical.
How to lock pricing
- In the Material Costing tab, find the line item for which you want to lock the price.
- Click on the pricing you wish to lock to open the CQPS (CalcuQuote Price Selector).
- In the top-left corner of the CQPS window, locate the lock icon.
- Click the icon to lock the selected price.
- Once locked, the price will display a lock symbol next to the selected offer details, indicating that it is protected from updates or changes.
