QuoteCQ: How to setup your users and roles

Learn how to configure your users and assign their roles and permissions

Our configuration view allows for easy account navigation to configure Users, Roles, Role Assignments and Role Permissions.

Navigate to the Configuration view and select User Account.

Users

Configure new users:

  • Click on the + next to 'Users.'

  • This will display a pop-up titled 'Create New User.' Enter the First Name, Last Name, Username and Email of the person you would like to create as a user.

  • You will also need to assign a role to this user. Use the drop down to choose one or multiple roles already configured.

User Company

If you have two or more locations that are tied to different company settings, admins have the ability to configure user settings to see only the assemblies in the RFQ list that are associated to each assigned company.

  1. Select a user to edit, the Edit User pop up should appear Company. In the Company dropdown, select your associated companies, then click Next, then Submit.

  2. Next, navigate to the RFQ page. In the Company dropdown, you can select from your associated companies. ONLY the companies associated to your User ID will appear in the "Create New RFQ" page and the "RFQ list".

User Roles

Each user has a specific role and access QuoteCQ. Download this export below to identify the permissions for each role:

Once all information has been submitted, click 'Create User.' This will initiate an invitation email to the newly created user. The new user will need to click on the link to create their account credentials.
