Supplier Integrations: How to Connect to Mouser

What information can I retrieve?

• Search API: the Mouser API will retrieve your negotiated contract pricing.
• Order API: the Mouser API will also allow you to place Purchase Orders via API using ShopCQ.

What information do I need to provide to CQ team?

• Search API Key
• Order API Key

What do I need to do?

Mouser Search API

1. Click here: https://www.mouser.com/api-search/
2. Click on Sign Up for Search API and login with your Mouser account.
3. List the Mouser Search API access request form:
4. Describe the application:
   1. Application Name = “CalcuQuote for [Your Company Name]”
   2. Application Description = “This new software will allow us to access our pricing by using this API., and will cut down on the amount of time Mouser will have to spend on our quoting and let us all focus on more strategic supply chain conversations.”
   3. Application Type = Select Internal Web/Mobile Application
   4. Estimated Userbase = Your estimated company userbase on CalcuQuote
   5. Will users be charged = No (Your company will not be charging anyone for using your company specific API on Mouser)
   6. Will advertising be displayed = No
5. Mouser will provide an API key.
6. Send it to you CalcuQuote Account Manager.
7. The CQ Team will then setup the API Accordingly.

Mouser Order API

You need to first request the Search API, following the instructions above.

1. Go to THIS LINK.
2. Click on the Generate Key blue button.
3. Login to your Mouser Account.
   1. First and Last name
   2. Phone number
   3. Email Address
   4. Why you are requesting the AP?: “other” Fill in the following fields on the Mouser Website:
4. Submit the form. 
5. Mouser will then send you an Order API Key.
6. Forward the Key to your CalcuQuote Account Manager.
7. The CQ team will setup the API accordingly and confirm back to you the connection is successful.
