Supplier Integrations: How to Connect to Texas Instruments

Do you want to integrate the Texas Instruments API?

What information can I retrieve?

  • Search API: the Texas Instruments API will retrieve information including your negotiated contract prices.
  • Order API: the Texas Instruments API will also allow you to place Purchase Orders via API when using ShopCQ.

Please note that to request and use the Order API you need to get the Search API as well. Meaning you need to follow the steps for both.

What do I need to do?

Texas Instruments API

Please notice that Texas Instruments requires you to have a myTI Company Account to request an API. This myTI Company Account is different from the myTI Login access you might have.

Do you need help from TI?

  1. Create a myTI company account
    Do you have a myTIcompany account already? Jump to Step 2. 
    1. Go to myTI Company account page.
    2. Click on "Get Started".
    3. Log into you myTI account with your existing credentials, then click “Next“.
    4. You need to verify your email address when logging in. Click “Send“: this will send a TI owned email to your inbox.
    5. From your email inbox, open the email and click “Verify your account“.
    6. Complete account registration:
      • Enter your company information.
      • Check the box to agree with the T&Cs.
      • Click “Register“.
    7. A message of account completion will appear when completed, click “Continue“.
    8. Your myTI Company account will be created and you will be able to move forward to requesting your API.
  2. Go to https://www.ti.com/ and login with your myTI Company account credentials.
  3. From your profile dropdown menu, click “myTI dashboard“.
  4. Click “API keys and access“ under Account settings.
  5. Click on the "Register" button in the TI store order API suite.
  6. TI will require you to agree to the API terms and conditions.
  7. Click on "Continue".
  8. Then your API will need to be approved by TI. Once approved or rejected, the API status will be automatically updated. This might take 1-2 days.
  9. If approved, you will be able to check your API Key and Secret.
  10. Send those to your CalcuQuote Account Manager. The CQ team will setup the API in your CQ Application accordingly.

Texas Instruments Order API

  1. After following the steps above, go to the TI Portal again > myTI Dashboard > Order Preferences > Checkout Profiles.
  2. Navigate to the ID column and copy your Checkout Profile ID.
  3. Send this ID to your CalcuQuote Account Manager.
  4. The CQ Team will setup the API in your ShopCQ Application accordingly.
