If your team uses the “Bids to Remain Open” setting in CalcuQuote, you now have more flexibility to update part statuses after a bid has been submitted. This enhancement allows you to correct or adjust line items without needing to reopen the bid, saving time and keeping your workflow moving.
🔄 What is it?
Once “Bids to Remain Open” is enabled for your company, you can now change the following part statuses on submitted-open bids:
-
Select Status
-
Pending
-
No Bid
These updates apply to individual part lines within a bid and will be reflected in CQPS (CalcuQuote Pricing System) accordingly.
⚙️ How It Works in CQPS
Each status change updates how the part appears in CQPS:
Status to Status |
What Happens in CQPS |
---|---|
Select Status (no status) → No Bid |
Old price moves to Archived- Current price becomes 0 |
No Bid → Select Status (no status) |
0 price moves to Archived- New price is saved and shown as current |
Select Status (no status) → Pending |
No price or selection shown in CQPS- Old price moves to Archived |
No Bid → Pending |
No price or selection shown in CQPS- Old price moves to Archived |
Pending → Select Status (no status) |
Price will be shown in CQPS |
Pending → No Bid |
0 price will be shown in CQPS |
🔒 Important Notes
-
This functionality only works when your company has the “Bids to Remain Open” setting turned ON.
-
These changes can only be made on bids that are still in a submitted-open state.
-
Updates will immediately reflect in CQPS, ensuring the correct pricing is considered in real-time decisions.
✅ Why This Matters
Mistakes happen. Sometimes a part line needs to be marked as “No Bid” after submission, or a new quote comes in that you’d like to apply. With this update, you no longer need to reopen a bid to make these kinds of corrections—saving your team time and reducing quoting friction.
