What’s New in CQ: Mid-December Release Notes

Please review our release notes below for new updates and features.

  • Auto Populate Part Type/Class: Classifying your Bill of Material Part Type/Class enables CalcuQuote to enhance your downstream quoting with automated calculation of labor driver counts and the application of default lead quantities and attrition rates. With the new Auto Populate feature, we have made it easier than ever to classify your BOM. Next time you’re adding Part Type/Class, navigate to ‘BOM Mgmt’ in the footer and click ‘Populate Part Type/Class’. CalcuQuote will perform a search of past part classifications and automatically apply prior MPN class selections to your current BOM.

  • Work Center Attribution: CalcuQuote now allows you to attribute labor activities to Work Centers. To create a Work Center, navigate to the Labor Configuration of your instance and select ‘Work Centers.’ Build a Work Center by adding a Name, Labor Type (e.g. Variable Labor), and Time Unit (e.g. Hours). For this deployment, Work Centers are used to further categorize activities, but we are looking forward to developing more Work Center functionality soon!

  • Better Selection & Status of Update Pricing: A simple but efficient functionality. Upon choosing Update Pricing, you can now ‘Check All’ or ‘Uncheck All’ desired APIs. After pricing has begun, you will see a new status percentage next to the ‘Update Pricing’ button that will display the real-time completion progress of your APIs.

  • Saved Preferences: CalcuQuote will always remember what is important to you. Your table column selections and pagination preferences are saved to ensure your unique quoting perspective.

  • Increased allowance for Quantity/Board, Min, Mult, and Order Qty: CalcuQuote supports data entry to the sixth decimal place for these crucial Material Costing fields. We know the accuracy of your quote hinges on the flexibility of your RFQ inputs.

  • PUI API Integration: We are happy to announce a new integration with PUI. Upon customer request, CalcuQuote is able to integrate your instance with the PUI catalog pricing API. Please reach out to a CalcuQuote team member to activate this feature for your instance.

We will be deploying the update to your instance soon.

As always: We continuously make general improvements and updates to the overall quality, stability, and security of CalcuQuote.
