What's New in CQ: January 2024

What's New in QuoteCQ?

PLA Update: Use PLA Pricing as a Data Source

Your PLA quotes can now be used as its own data source when pricing your quotes!

Why do I care? The system allows you to set PLA Quotes as a data source so you can use those prices when quoting your jobs.

Now Edit Rules Based PT Classifications on the BOM Tab!

Now users can edit or make new PT Classification rules when on the BOM tab. Just click the 3 dotted menu to the left of the line level and you're in business!

Add Notes right on the RFQ List

Add notes right on the RFQ List to keep up with your projects

Updates to the Package Quote Report

The Package Quote report now shows the unit price of each assembly in the package to ensure your end customers know the cost of each.

Why do I care? Now CQ users can easily and effectively communicate the costs of each unit price with their end customers.

If you're not using Package Quotes already, check out how to use them and their benefits here!

UOM Update!! Package Count is now updated from APIs

Now QuoteCQ will help you with your UOM issues - the Purchase UOM and Purchase UOM Pack Size information will come straight from your Supplier API Connections!

If the system cannot find this information in the API response, it utilizes your past preferences (saved for a specific MPN) to apply the correct Purchase UOM and Package count. Note: DigiKey and Farnell are the only suppliers with this capability in their APIs.

Why do I care? You do not have to manually adjust the Purchase UOM and Package count making wire and cable much easier!

PCB Tab Update: Add in Multiple Boards with comma separates MPNs

Now if your BOM has multiple boards on it separated with Commas, they'll be imported properly as separate lines if they belong to a sub-level or sub-BOM!

Why do I care? Users will no longer need to break out their PCB lines on their BOMs or within the application.

Data Source FTP Update - Multi Column QtyBreak & Price Columns

Users can import multiple QTY Breaks and Unit Price breaks while importing their FTP Data Sources

Why do I care? This will help users source pricing as multiple price breaks for an MPN from their Data Source

Line Item History adds more Power: change in Package QTYs and more!

The system will now keep track of any changes to the package quantities so you can see who is doing what in the system.

Why do I care? Now users have more insight to changes that are happening within the application by their users.

BOM Health Update: Data trickles in as your Supplier APIs Wrap up

Now users can start analyzing their BOM health as soon as APIs start bringing in data. There is no need for the APIs to completely finish processing.

Another BOM Health Update: New Columns Added! Confidence Scores, Datasheets, and Links, oh my!

New columns in the Smart BOM Import include MPN Health, Confidence, Product Links, and Datasheets at the suggestions stage.

Why do I care? You care because there's more data for you to review and make good decisions with!

Alternates Approval Link Upgrade: Now available after Quote Completion

The Pending Alternate Approval link will still be accessible to your customers after completing the quote (changing status to won, loss or follow up within the QCQ system.)

Note: This will not change any pricing information on the current quote, only show the Part rejected status.

If you're not taking advantage of the Alternates Approval Link, you're missing out. Seriously! CLICK HERE to learn how to use it.

Smart Import update: "Let me Choose" button added for Alternates Look Up

Now users can select the lines they want the system to search alternates for instead of all the lines on their BOM.

Why do I care? Now you can save time and look for alternates on the lines you really want to check out and not all of them.

What's New in ShopCQ?

Quoted Price Now Visible after pushing from QuoteCQ

In addition to your target price, users will now be able to view the quoted price if you quoted that demand line in QuoteCQ.

Why do I care? Ensure you're selecting the same pricing or close to the same pricing for your demand line that was quoted in QuoteCQ. This will help users catch pricing changes and pivot to find better pricing if needed.

Improved Logic for Attention Field

We've got your back! Users can set the default attention field for the PO now in Configuration (In Company Details!) so when creating new POs, that field auto populates.

Why do I care? The system will assign this default attention field while creating the new POs. If no attention is set, then the buyer's email will be assigned as attention.

What's New in BidCQ?

Phone Number added to BidCQ Email

Now if users have their phone number added to their CQ profile, it'll show in the signature of the BidCQ Email sent out to your reps.

Why do I care? Now your suppliers can call you directly if they have any questions or need clarification.

Package Name now available in BidCQ

The packaging now shows as the name of the packaging rather than groupings.

Why do I care? The goal is to quickly identify and select the desired package from the drop-downs.

What's New in SearchCQ?

Custom Reel Fees Available in SearchCQ

SearchCQ will display the proper Unit Prices along with the customer reel fee. This ensures that the total price presented includes the reel fee that is configured in your account.

System Improvements

Below are general system improvements and bug fixes that were fixed in this last release.

QuoteCQ

BUGFIX: Inactive suppliers were being shown when trying to send bids from the Material costing tab. This has been fixed and the proper information shows.

BUGFIX: Workflow was being marked as complete if the quote was put on hold. This has been changed and the workflow will still be active. The next task will populate properly when the quote starts to be worked on again.

BUGFIX: If the labor tab was done and a user changed something on the BOM, the "reset labor" flow was broken. This is now fixed.

BUGFIX: Accent Characters were throwing off some reports in the Itar instances resulting in the famous "OOPS" error. This is now fixed and reports are downloadable with accent characters.

Update: Better logic to help with exponential values in MPNs to help with better CrossScore Matching

ShopCQ

BUGFIX: Attrition and Lead QTY were switched on exports. This is resolved and they're in their proper places.

BUGFIX: Users with Read only user roles were still able to place POs. This is resolved and the roles act properly.
