What’s New: October Features of CalcuQuote [Release Notes]

We always seek customer feedback to continuously improve your CalcuQuote experience. We look forward to deploying these features to your instance soon. In the meantime, please take a look at the complete update notes below:

Exploded (Sub-Assembly) Quoting

Many of you have been enjoying the new consolidated BOM functionality of CalcuQuote allowing for more complex multilevel quotes that take advantage of several labor profiles, aggregated material costing, and much more. With our latest build, your quote tab now includes both Assembly and Sub-Assembly breakouts of Unit, Extended, and Excess costs. Not only can you review your quotes on this level, you can also choose to export customer quotes with either Assembly or Assembly+Sub-Assembly information. Read this article to learn how to export your quote with sub-assembly information.

Pricing Filters:

View all pricing, some or none at all. We have updated the Select Price pop-up pricing filters for Material Costing to allow more flexibility when sourcing a BOM with users now able to select more than one option at a time. Ask us about our preferred supplier feature, and users will be able to easily toggle options for Non-Preferred Suppliers, Preferred Suppliers, and Cross Matched parts.

Feature: Lead Quantity and Attrition Validations

An exciting new feature! CalcuQuote makes it easy to assess Lead Quantity and Attrition to your material order quantities. These values can be adjusted through BOM import, manual intervention, or with the default values associated to Part Classes/Types. With all this flexibility, some of you have mentioned that it’s a bit too easy to overwrite your values unintentionally. With this feature, a new validation can be prompted if changes to your BOM will affect your established Lead Quantity and Attrition values. This prompt will ask users for validation of whether they would like to use the ‘Current’ values associated with their part or ‘Default’ values configured for their Part Class/Type.

Part Class/Type Reset Pricing

Many of you have asked, “What will happen to my pricing if I change Part Class/Type after completing Material Costing?” Absolutely nothing (at your discretion). With our latest deployment, changes to the Part Class/Type field in BOM tab will prompt the user to check or uncheck a box for “Reset Pricing.” Checking the “Reset Pricing” option will erase the pricing data for this line in Material Costing. If the box is unchecked, the pricing data will remain unchanged.

Assembly Name:

It’s the little things, right? The limit for an assembly name has increased to 50 characters.

Expanded BOM:

Viewing your BOM in CalcuQuote just got better. Part number, internal part number, and supplier part number can now be viewed on the BOM level. Click here to read about how to add this view to your BOM level display.

Exporting Package Info

Was your costed BOM missing something? The costed BOM export of Material Costing now enables users to see packaging in the file.

Large File Uploads

CalcuQuote’s document storage solution has been enhanced to allow larger files to be attached with your RFQs.

As Always:

We’ve made general improvements and updates to the overall quality, stability, and security of CalcuQuote.
