QuoteCQ users can use their custom data source setup as an FTP in order to get MPN data when running Scrub my BOM, BOM Info, or Suggest MPN by Description.
If you are unsure how to setup your custom data source, you can reference the article HERE. The custom data source feature is available at the Standard Tier. When setting up the data source, the user can configure it as either a pricing source or BOM Insight. In order to use the feature discussed here, you would need to set it up as a BOM Insight source.
There are three functions on the BOM tab that allow users to pull in information regarding your BOM in order to analyze and complete.
Below are each feature and what information they provide:
- Scrub My BOM: Part Class, Lead Qty, Attrition and No of Leads based on historical BOMs, machine learning or your own data.
- BOM Info: Lifecycle Status, Description Analysis, DataSheets, and MPN Description.
- Suggest MPN by Description: Use the descriptions from your BOM and suggest MPN from your own data.
- Auto Populate IPN: Populate your IPN based on MPN from your own data source.
- Suggest MPN from IPN: Not only can you populate your IPN, you can suggest an MPN from the IPNs on your BOM!
- Auto Populate CPN: Populate your CPN based on MPN.
- Suggest MPN from CPN: Suggest an MPN from the CPNs too!
- Suggest MPN from SPN: get your associated MPNs based on the Supplier Part Number
- Auto Populate your Preferred Supplier: indicate your current vendor for a specific component and use that information for costing and negotiation.
- Auto Populate your Target Pricing: do you want to negotiate based on specific prices? Share this information with your suppliers.
With BOM Insights, users can not only utilize their supplier API data to gather the information through each of these but you can also utilize the data from your custom data source.
The BOM Insights feature is available at the Advanced Tier.
