What's New in CQ? April 2025

What's New in QuoteCQ?

Smart BOM Import Updates:

  • Costed BOM Import : You can now import costed BOMs from other external quoting systems more cleanly into CQ. This improvement allows BOMs that already include material pricing to be pulled in efficiently without requiring rework or manual costing adjustments.
  • Level Column AML Functionality: Import will recognize multi-level BOMs by grouping alternates using the Level column, reducing import cleanup time.

Why it’s great: Import complex BOMs faster and more accurately.

Project-Level File Management

Attach and manage files directly at the RFQ/project level. Control whether each document is included in supplier bids and add new files even after initial bids are sent, with direct supplier notifications.

Why it’s great: Share the right documents with suppliers at the right time.

Landed Costs - Phase 1: Percentage

Capture and allocate additional costs such as tariffs, freight, and handling fees directly into your quotes. Landed costs can be based on percentages, per-line, or per-order values, giving a truer view of total material costs.

Why it’s great: Improve cost accuracy by factoring in real-world overheads.

BOM Health Data via Accuris

Integrate BOM Health insights from Accuris directly into your BOM scrub process. Data such as lifecycle status, compliance risks, and availability risks are now automatically fetched and stored with your scrub results.

Why it’s great: Catch risky components earlier without leaving the quoting flow.

Close Projects with Unpriced Lines

Projects can now be closed even if some BOM lines remain unpriced. Users have flexibility to revoke, close, or leave supplier bids open, while maintaining visibility into project status.

Why it’s great: No more delays closing quotes because of a few incomplete lines.

Minimum and Multiplier Field Behavior

BidCQ now treats Minimum (Min) and Multiplier fields separately to better enforce minimum order quantities and correct quantity increments. This helps suppliers enter bids that match your sourcing expectations without confusion.

Why it’s great: Get cleaner, more accurate supplier bids that follow your minimum quantity rules.

Pricing Delta Performance Improvements

Bulk pricing operations now process calculations in the background, making material costing and review tab workflows significantly faster even on large datasets.

Why it’s great: Quoting and reviewing big projects is faster and smoother.

What's New in QuoteCQ 4.0?

Change Site + Clone Quotes (4.0)

Quickly move an existing quote to a different manufacturing site or create a cloned copy. When changing sites, CQ automatically resets labor rates, material costing, PCB pricing, and applies the new site’s settings, while preserving scrubbed and validated BOM data. Risk assessment and NREs can also be copied over based on user selection.

Why it’s great: Easily reprice quotes for different locations without starting over.

Budgetary Quotes for Site Comparisons (4.0)

Create budgetary quotes using a different manufacturing site’s labor rates without rebuilding the RFQ. The system clones the CPM structure and applies new rates, allowing users to easily compare costs across sites.

Why it’s great: Quickly estimate costs across different facilities for smarter planning.

What's the Difference?

Change Site + Clone Quotes creates a fully cloned, editable quote for a new manufacturing site. It resets labor activities, material costing, PCB pricing, and site-specific settings, allowing you to move forward with quoting at the new location.

Budgetary Quotes for Site Comparisons apply a different site’s labor rates to your existing quote to generate a quick cost estimate without rebuilding or changing the original RFQ. Budgetary quotes are used for comparison purposes only and are not editable working quotes.

What's New in ShopCQ?

Order Manager: Enhanced GET PO Response Integration

ShopCQ now displays key fields like expected and actual ship dates, delivery dates, tracking numbers, and shipment statuses directly in Order Manager, sourced from supplier APIs.

Why it’s great: Track and manage shipments without needing external systems.

Open APIs for Sending Purchase Orders

New APIs allow ShopCQ to send purchase orders directly to suppliers. Orders include quantity, price, delivery dates, supplier part numbers, and suppliers can confirm fulfillment through the API.

Why it’s great: Automate your purchase order workflows for faster fulfillment.
